Christine Rose

Christine Marie Rose

At 5:14 PM, on the 107th day of the year 2012 CE, Ms. Christine Marie Rose, age 50, was finally freed from her corporeal bonds to join the greater Cosmos. Those remaining in Christine’s absence will be poorer and sadder for her loss but her works and spirit will persist in the hearts of all those privileged to have known her. Christine passed away in the company of family and friends at her home after many years of struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born in Muskegon, MI on 14 September 1961 to Donald and Beverly (Bush) Forbear. Christine was a dedicated Clarinet teacher and an enthusiastic supporter of the West Michigan Concert Winds and remained active in that organization until the disease made that impractical. Christine is survived by her husband of 26 years, Kurt Rose, her father and mother Donald and Beverly Forbear of Muskegon; her sister Julie Schafer of Muir, MI; her sister Teresa Forbear of Grand Haven, MI; her sister Brenda Turner of Louisville, KY; her brother Steven of Niles, MI and her three beloved ShihTzus: Max, Beau and Gizmo. A memorial service will be held at the CIO Hall, 561 W. Western Avenue, in Muskegon on Saturday, April 21, at 2:00 PM. Secular Celebrant Mr. Jeremy Beahan will be officiating. A remembrance area will be open 1 hour before the ceremony (1-2 PM). Christine has generously donated her body to MedCure for scientific research. Donations can be made in Christine’s name to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, www.msassociation.org
