A Family Concert for Kids of All Ages
Frauenthal, Muskegon
We invite you to come with your family to spend a day in the imagination of your childhood. Come get lost in your favorite books narrated by our own WBLV radio hostess Judy Wagley. And brought to life musically by your West Michigan Concert WINDS!
Musical Selections
- Start this day with a ‘Mother Goose March’ by John Philip Sousa
- Experience the outdoors with an all-time favorite ‘Peter and the Wolf’ – Sergei Prokofiev
- While in Europe be brave with ‘The Bremen Town Musicians’ – A Grimm Fairy Tale
- Have lunch at a ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’ – performed by WINDS Bassoon Ensemble
- Then it’s off to the Zoo to see Elephants, ‘Baby Elephant Walk’ - Mancini, Tigers ‘Tuba Tiger Rag’ DeCosta & more Bears, with Berlioz the Bear and ‘A Time to Dance’ by Giroux.
- Finally going home after a wonderful day together to say
- “Goodnight Moon” by Ticheli - with Soprano, Dana Harris.
Area schools and music classes will have the opportunity to learn from and receive the following nine books and curriculum before attending this wonderful afternoon concert with their family.
