Travel Protection
Travel protection provides coverage for both trip cancellation and medical issues overseas. It is important to note that there is a difference in plans for trip cancellation versus Cancel for any Reason (CFAR) protection. Policies covering the three levels of coverage can be found on the WINDs Website, in the section covering the trip. Very specifically, pages 10 and 11 of the policies define what is covered. Examples of coverage include sickness, accidental injury or death that results in medically imposed restrictions as certified by a Physician, for you, a family member, or a traveling companion. But there are many more, so I recommend you look at the individual policies to determine what best suits your need. The Cancel for any Reason protection covers 75% of the cost, not 100%, so again I recommend that you look at the policies.
Medical Coverage
Medical coverage, up to and including evacuation back to the United States, may be a part of your current insurance. However, I would recommend strongly that you contact your insurance carrier to determine if you have medical coverage while traveling internationally. Please note, in most situations Medicare will not pay for health care or supplies you get outside of the United States.

Three different policies are listed, however only the “Safe Travels Voyager Protection” offers Cancel for any Reason protection. If you wish CFAR coverage, select "Yes" under the drop down menu where it says "Cancel for Any Reason" to add this to your trip. Non-Michigan Residents
If the traveler is from a different state, kindly click on their plan of choice here, select “View Plan Details,” click on the “Certificate” button next, and lastly choose their home state on the list. It will then pull up a new tab, which is the certificate for the residents of that state. Also, residents of different states should have separate policies.
